Trump To Win Pennsylvania, Few Steps Away From White House Return

3 weeks ago 2

Donald Trump, 78, has reclaimed the battleground state of Pennsylvania in the 2024 presidential election, according to projections from Fox News.

His victory in the state, which he lost to President Joe Biden in 2020 but won over Hillary Clinton in 2016, adds 19 critical electoral votes in his path toward the 270 needed to secure the presidency over Vice President Kamala Harris.

Trump’s campaign in Pennsylvania gained significant momentum following a dramatic incident in Butler, where an attempt on his life was narrowly averted.

While addressing a crowd of supporters, an unidentified assailant fired a shot that was intercepted by Secret Service agents.

In an image that has since become emblematic, a bloodied Trump raised his fist to the cheering crowd, mouthing the words, “Fight! Fight!”—a moment many are already calling historic.

The 2024 campaign season also saw Trump and Harris face off in their first and only presidential debate, held in Philadelphia. Trump had debated President Biden previously before Biden’s decision to withdraw from the race.

In the final days before Election Day, Trump’s campaign took on an unexpected twist when he made a stop at a Bucks County McDonald’s, where he worked behind the counter, poking fun at Harris’s claim that she once worked at the fast food chain.

The gesture underscored Trump’s signature campaign style, blending populism with theatrical flair, as he rallied his base in the state crucial to his comeback.
