The Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Federal Capital Territory Command, Olusola Odumosu, has challenged the newly 544 promoted officers to demonstrate professionalism in their roles, urging them to uphold the integrity of the Corps.
This was according to a statement signed by the command spokesman, Samuel Idoko.
Addressing the promoted officers in Abuja on Friday, Odumosu highlighted that these promotions were not merely advancements but also “a call to greater responsibility within the organisation.”
He urged the officers to embody the “highest standards of professionalism in their duties.”
Odumosu commended the officers for their exemplary performance in promotion examinations, which reflect their commitment to professional excellence and career progression.
The Commandant also acknowledged the pivotal role of Commandant General Abubakar Audi in facilitating these promotions, reminding the officers that with increased responsibility comes the expectation of exemplary conduct.
“To whom much is given, much is expected,” he emphasised.
Reinforcing the NSCDC’s mandate to protect critical national assets and infrastructure, Odumosu called on the officers to intensify their commitment to safeguarding government properties under their jurisdiction.
He stated that professionalism will not only enhance the Corps’ effectiveness but also build public trust in its operations.
