Kaduna gov unveils 10 roads to improve connectivity

Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, on Tuesday unveiled 10 newly constructed asphaltic roads in the metropolis, aimed at boosting connectivity, security, and economic activities for residents, farmers, and business owners.

The unveiling ceremony, held on Tuesday, marked a significant milestone in the governor’s drive to improve infrastructure and enhance the quality of life for Kaduna residents.

Speaking at the event, Sani expressed satisfaction with the completion of the projects, which were initiated in February.

“These completed roads will enhance connectivity and accessibility for residents, farmers, business owners, and other road users in Kaduna and its environs. They will reduce travel time, enhance security, boost trade and commerce, and foster social interaction among our citizens,” Sani said.

The governor underscored the importance of well-constructed roads in spurring economic growth and development, calling on stakeholders and residents to take ownership of the projects and ensure their maintenance.

“Well-constructed roads are the backbone of economic activity. They connect people, businesses, farmers, and citizens to markets, schools, and healthcare facilities. Let us work together to ensure they are well-maintained and utilized to their fullest potential,” Sani added.

Among the commissioned roads are Garba Ja Abdulkadir road, Bissau road, Unguwan Muazu Township roads, Water Intake road, off Yakowa Road, Yakubu Gowon Residential Layout Road, Kawo Layout Roads, off ‘Yan Awaki Road and State House roads network

Others are, Stadium Roundabout to Command Junction road, Residential Layout, off Gobarau road, Residential Layout, off Kinshasha road, Sultan-Surame road, and Ohinoyi road

Sani also announced plans to commission 12 additional roads in the second quarter of 2025, including the 5.525km asphaltic road connecting Airport Road to Tudun Biri Community. He highlighted his administration’s groundbreaking ceremony for 70 road projects spanning 770 kilometres across the three senatorial districts of Kaduna State.

“While a number of these projects have already been successfully completed, others are progressing steadily. We are committed to delivering on our promise to transform the state’s infrastructure and improve the lives of our citizens,” he said.
