PUNCH Appoints Wunmi Tunde-Obe as Executive Director

The board of Punch Nigeria Limited has announced the appointment of Mrs. Valerie Omowunmi Tunde-Obe as Executive Director of Business Development and Innovation.

According to a statement from the management, Tunde-Obe’s new role takes effect on January 1, 2025. Previously, she served as a Non-Executive Director at Punch Nigeria Limited, contributing to corporate governance, strategic planning, and innovation.

Tunde-Obe brings over 20 years of experience as a creative professional, entrepreneur, and corporate leader, with expertise spanning arts, advertising, beauty, and the culinary industries. Her career began at LTC/JWT Advertising, where she worked on campaigns for major brands including Coca-Cola, Guinness, Unilever, and Cadbury.

In addition to her corporate achievements, Tunde-Obe ventured into entrepreneurship, founding several businesses: KOPYKATS & Associates Limited, United Hairways Beauty Company, and Iya Ibadan Local Cuisine & Foods.

She is also a celebrated figure in the Nigerian music scene, performing alongside her husband, Tunde Obe, as the renowned duo T.W.O, with a career spanning nearly three decades.

Tunde-Obe holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Philosophy from the University of Lagos and certifications in Entrepreneurship Essentials and Design Thinking & Innovation from Harvard Business School Online. She is also certified in Natural Hair Care Formulation by Joan Morais Cosmetic School.

In her leisure time, Tunde-Obe enjoys music, reading, painting, traveling, and fostering connections with others.
