In a move to enforce the state’s environmental laws, operatives of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps have discovered and confiscated a large stash of banned styrofoam products at Ojuwoye Market in Mushin.
This was made known in a statement by the Commissioner of Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab on X.com on Tuesday.
According to the statement, the confiscated styrofoam products have been taken to the KAI office in Oshodi for incineration.
The statement said, “Based on intelligence gathering, the operatives of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (KAI)
#lagescofficial discovered a styrofoam warehouse at Ojuwoye Market in Mushin.
“The owner brought in the banned styrofoam to market in the early hours of today. The products have been confiscated and taken to the KAI office in Oshodi for incineration.
